Il rifugio dell'unicorno è un tipico casale umbro in pietra, risalente al 1700 nella sua parte più antica, situato in una zona protetta di grande interesse naturalistico, tra Orvieto ed il lago Trasimeno, precisamente in località Pornello, comune di San Venanzo. Completamente isolato su un poggio dal quale si domina il panorama a 360 gradi, è il luogo ideale per gli amanti dello sport e della natura;direttamente dal casale partono sentieri immersi nei boschi circostanti ed anche le strade asfaltate del luogo consentono bellissime escursioni in tutta tranquillità verso i luoghi più belli dell'Umbria (Todi, Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Castiglione del Lago, etc.); anche la parte sud della provincia di Siena (Pienza,Chiusi) è molto vicina.?
The Unicorn Lodge is a typical old Umbrian farmhouse built in local stone. The house, which in parts dates back to the eighteenth century, lies in the heart of the country in an area of great naturalistic interest, close to the medieval town of Orvieto and the Trasimeno lake, at Ponello near the hilltop town of San Venanzo. Situated on the top of a small hillock, which offers a 360 degree view, the farmhouse is an ideal place for all those who love nature and sports at the same time. Many beautiful paths start right from the house running through the woods.The main roads enable you to easily reach the most important sites and towns in Umbria, like Todi, Orvieto, Città della Pieve, Castiglione del Lago or, southwards, Siena, Pienza, Chiusi.
